With February behind us and spring knocking at our door, I look forward to the many exciting opportunities we have planned at O’Neill. We have just completed our P.S. I Love You Spirit Week which allowed us the opportunity to bring awareness to mental health. Dr. Canle’ and I invited parents of our sixth graders to come in and learn about the end of year activities and information surrounding social media/phone use as it pertains to school. Our teachers celebrated Black History Month by highlighting notable contributions and achievements by African American leaders. Beautiful displays were created and posted throughout the hallways of O’Neill.
As we enter March, our focus will continue to be computer skills for CBT (Computer Based Testing) while cultivating a love of learning. As always, our overriding theme continues to be KINDNESS. As we enter the last trimester of school, we will hold Parent/Teacher conferences by invitation only. As always, communication between home and school is paramount to the educational success of your child. Please feel free to contact your child’s teacher at any time.
