A whopping 210 students with exemplary attendance at O’Neill Elementary School were treated to a special pancake breakfast on Friday morning.
In celebration of Black History Month and in an effort to focus on less recognized figures, Ms. Carney’s first graders at O'Neill Elementary School learned about Amanda Gorman, the first National Youth Poet Laureate and an activist and best known for delivering her poem “The Hill We Climb” at Joe Biden’s inauguration.
Mrs. Torres and Mrs. Maguire's fifth grade students at O'Neill Elementary School got together and wrote sentences for PS I Love You Day.
The O'Neill PTA hosted the game show "Are Smarter than a 5th Grader. Mrs. Grizzaffi created the game where families and friends competed to see who was the smartest at O'Neill!
O’Neill Elementary School hosted its fourth-annual fifth and sixth grade spelling bee on Thursday morning.
The spelling bee featured 18 of the top spellers across the two grades.
The winner was Kaelyn Bailey from Mr. Roethgen’s and Mr. McDonald’s fifth grade class, and second place went to Aaron Velasquez from Mr. Smikle’s and Mr. Schriffen’s class.
