O'Neill's Superintendent Council Meets for First Time in 2025
Superintendent of Schools, Dr. Sharon A. Dungee, brought two important guests with her to O'Neill Elementary School on Tuesday morning.
Ms. Christina Guastella, Grants and Funded Programs Administrator, and Mr. Thomas Weiner, Director of School Safety and Nursing, accompanied Dr. Dungee to the monthly Superintendent's Council Meeting comprised of students who represent their peers.
Mr. Weiner delivered new, branded lanyards for the students to thank them for representing their school. He spoke on the importance of school safety and told students about he helps keep the community safe.
Ms. Guastella was able to share her responsibilities with the students and field an array of questions. Each student took special interest to learn about the ways the Grants and Funded Programs departments helps enrich the Central Islip School District.
